Travis Scheadler

Dr. Travis Scheadler (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His research focuses on activism, community connectedness, mental health, and identity development. For example, his dissertation examined the experiences of adults in LGBTQ+ recreational sport spaces. He is currently leading quantitative and qualitative studies with LGBTQ+ people in sport, LGBTQ+ people in politics, and drag performers. Additionally, Travis is leading both scoping reviews and meta-analyses related to mental health in sport and among LGBTQ+ adults. During his free time, Travis enjoys spending time with his partner and their dog. He also enjoys playing pickleball and participating in Stonewall Sports.
