Julio Isaac Vega Cauich

Julio Vega (he/him) holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and Subject-Specific Didactics from the University of the Basque Country. He is a full-time professor at the School of Education of the Autonomous University of Yucatán, Mexico.
His research examines violence, victimization, mental health, and behavioral outcomes among adolescents and young adults across educational and community settings. He is particularly interested in school violence, bullying, student well-being, child sexual violence, substance use, and criminal recidivism, with a focus on vulnerable populations such as LGBTQ+ youth and students at risk.
He also holds a specialization in statistics from the Faculty of Mathematics of the Autonomous University of Yucatán, and his methodological expertise includes multivariate analysis, psychometrics, and meta-analysis.
