Begonya Enguix Grau

Begonya Enguix Grau, Associate Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), holds a BA in American Anthropology (UCM), a BA in Advertising (UCM-UOC) and a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology (URV). She has participated in national and international research projects on migration, bodies, gender, love, dissident sexualities and digital identities, among others. Since 2015 she organizes the international conferences Men in Movement (MIM) (with Krizia Nardini and Paco Abril). She coordinates the research group 'Medusa: Genders in Transition. Masculinities, Bodies, and Affects' (UOC) and has recently published the books Pensar la antropologia en clave posthumanista (edited with Josep Martí, 2022, ed. CSIC), Sexualities, Gender and Violence: A View from the Iberian Peninsula (edited with Cristina Pereira Vieira, 2020, Nova Publishers) and Orgullo, Protesta, Negocio y otras Derivas LGTB (2019, Doce Calles).

In 2019 she held the Aigner Rollett Guest Professorship in Women's and Gender Studies at Karl-Franzens Universität, Graz (Austria) where she still lectures as a visiting professor. She lectures and conducts research on masculinities and gender, bodies, sexualities, identities and affects in relation to the urban, media, the digital, activism and politics. She has published over 70 works.
