Julie Fish (Co-Chair, UK Regional Network) is a Professor and Director of the Centre for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Trans and Queer Research at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. She has been a member of several Department of Health advisory groups on sexual orientation and gender identity. Together with Stonewall, she conducted Prescription for Change - the largest study of lesbian and bisexual women’s health in Europe. Her collection, edited with Kate Karban, was published in March 2015 by the Policy Press, Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans health inequalities: International perspectives in Social Work. She has recently completed research funded by the national charity Macmillan Cancer Support on LGB patients’ experiences of cancer. She is currently working on a project on loneliness and social support among LBT women.
