JASON SCHAUB

PhD
Jason Schaub (Co-Chair, UK Regional Network) is Lecturer in Social Work at University of Birmingham. He is a qualified social worker, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a founding member of European Social Work Research Association. He was the chair of the International Social Work and Sexuality Group from 2012-2019. His work focusses on gender and sexuality, particularly improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ young people, predominantly using evidence-based methodologies and mixed methods. Before entering academia in 2009, he practised in the USA, Ireland and the UK in mental health and children’s services for over ten years. He serves on several journal editorial boards and professional groups.
